About Karnataka (KPSC) PSC
Earlier to 1921, there was no Central Authority established in the State to direct Govt. &former Employing Experts in the stuffs of employment to the state civil service. Govt. & Appointing Authorities were giving appointment in agreement with the values laid down by Govt. on timely basis. The Govt. founded for the very first time a central organization for employments, known as “Central Recruitment Board”. This Board was close to the office of the Govt. Secretariat till the year 1940. Govt. hired a Public Service Commissioner for the State.
The PSC was instituted below the provisions of the Constitution of the Country on 18th May 1951. In agreement with the provisions of 14 clauses of the PSC Regulations in the year 1950, the employee of the Public Service Commissioner as it mounted in 1951, was constant as the center of the employee of the PSC.
